Growing up, we think Mom and Dad have all the answers to everything. When things get too hard, complicated, or confusing, we turn to them to guide us and take care of the difficult parts. To us, they are superheroes who save each and every day, even if we do not always realize it.
When we become adults, we are taught that we have to begin acting on our own and learning from our own mistakes, that Mom and Dad will not always be there. This is true to a degree, but really, Mom and Dad will still continue to be there to rescue us in the most desperate times, like when we get arrested.
As embarrassing as it is, we urge you to contact your parents about your situation. If you are over 18, the police will not automatically notify them because it is up to you to do that. At Santa Ana Bail Bonds, we believe that when the parents are in the know, the outcome is better. They may be upset and angry, but their relief and support will lift you above those other feelings. Mom and Dad will very likely make calls and all that to help you, but even just their emotional support is a lot of help in itself. Many of our former clients can attest to that.
